Easter Monday
Phew, what a scorcher!
I’m coming to the end of some leave I’ve taken over Easter and feel like I’ve had a summer holiday! The weather has been as good as a hot summer and I hope this continues for some time yet.
I took Ffion to see the new Winnie the Pooh film this morning which she thoroughly enjoyed. Then after Jen came home from work, we headed off to the beach.

Jen and Fi went for a paddle.

We then buried Fi in the shingle which she thought was great!

The schools re-open tomorrow and I’m back at work on Wednesday, but we all certainly feel like we’ve had a break!
First Ladybird of 2011
Whilst enjoying tea and toast in the garden with Jen this morning, we spotted a ladybird on the Mascari.

It was still enough to catch a short video of it cleaning its face:-
It’s good that spring has finally arrived after a rather long winter.
Perigee Moon
Tonight the moon is at its perigee, the closest it gets to Earth during it’s elliptical orbit.
We’re lucky to have a clear sky tonight and able to get a good view.

Spring at the Seafront
It was a lovely sunny spring morning, so we took our cameras to Lee on Solent beach. They have a lovely display of spring flowers.

Then we went down to the seafront.
